Erosion can be described as a natural phenomenon of removal, entrainment, transfer and sedimentation of soil particles.

The exposure of soils on high slopes, with the presence of weathered rocks, brings with it the phenomenon of erosion and falling detritus, caused by runoff, wind, gravity or the flow of water currents, leading to the degradation of ecosystems, increased risk of landslides and flooding, considerable loss of biodiversity, damage to infrastructure and, in catastrophic situations, the displacement of local inhabitants.

Erosion control cobbles that integrate with the environment

To mitigate these problems, GEOMATRIX offers long-term permanent erosion control blankets, natural green in color, that integrate very well with the environment, controlling the action of erosion agents due to their high resistance against hydrodynamic forces present in slopes and channels.
