Geosynthetics for
pavements
Due to their characteristics, Geomatrix High Tenacity Polyester (PET) geosynthetics allow the formulation of strategic solutions that improve the performance, construction process and cost-benefit ratio for pavement construction. In particular, their use is recommended for the following applications:
Usage
Recommended products

Compressible soft subgrade reinforcement
Reinforcement of soft, compressible subgrades.

Longitudinal Subdrainage
This is the capture and transport of groundwater to control the water table. This effect improves the bearing capacity of soils and prevents damage to structures such as pavements or foundations.

Reinforcement of asphalt layers
The reinforcement of asphalt layers consists of increasing the tensile strength in its lower plane through the use of geogrids. This effect is used to increase the shear strength at the interface, reducing the reflection of cracks and increasing the durability of the new asphalt layer due to its longer fatigue life.

Granular base reinforcement
Granular base reinforcement takes advantage of the tensile modulus of the geogrid to increase the elastic resilience of the pavement structure. This benefit is used to increase the service life of the pavement or to allow a reduction of the granular base thickness.
