For this reason, the pavement structure does not meet the traffic requirements and the thickness of the structure must be reduced in order to reach the defined grade.

Therefore, it is recommended to use geocells in order to increase the mechanical properties of granular materials and thus be able to reduce the structural package of the pavement.
