Hydroblock: long-term weather-resistant geotextile for soil confinement

Get to know our Geocontainer HYDROBLOCK for hydraulic applications. It is a rectangular structural element made of encapsulated GEOTEXTIL with high weather resistance, ideal for crown reinforcement for flood control and for lining dikes, embankments, and slopes facing bodies of water.

HYDROBLOCK It is designed to be filled hydraulically or mechanically with on-site soil or any type of available earth material, resulting in a structure of great mass and volume. Inside, it is equipped with transverse struts or tension members that control its shape, ensuring a prismatic form.

The lid and upper edges are equipped with a series of eyelets through which a synthetic cord is threaded closure that guarantees the necessary airtightnessfor operation under water.

In terms of durability, the geotextile from which it is made is encapsulated in a copolymer specially formulated to protect it from deterioration caused by weathering, naturally harsh humid environments, and, finally, the abrasive action of the riverbed.  

To ensure the stability of the assembled structures, it is equipped with a fastening system at the corners and intermediate points for securing adjacent units, thereby creating a monolithic structure.
