2020 – Geomatrix Laboratory expands the scope of its Gai-Lap accreditation

In the continuous search for excellence to develop the best Geosynthetics, the Geomatrix Laboratory expanded this year the scope of its GAI-LAP accreditation, with four new test methods:

ASTM D7003 -13 “Standard Test Method for Strip Tensile Properties of Reinforced Geomembranes”.
ASTM D7004 -13 “Standard Test Method for Grab Tensile Properties of Reinforced Geomembranes”.
In this way, our Laboratory, with 39 test methods, continues to be the first in Latin America, in number of accredited methods, of the Laboratories currently accredited by GAI-LAP; confirming our commitment to the issuance of reliable test results.

The accredited methods cover the entire portfolio of solutions with Geosynthetics, it continues to be the first in Latin America, in number of accredited tests, within the framework of laboratories currently accredited under the GAI-LAP program.

The Geosynthetic Accreditation Institute – Laboratory Accreditation Program (GAI-LAP) is an internationally renowned accreditation program for Geosynthetics testing, administered by the Geosynthetic Institute (GSI), USA.

This accreditation program is framed in three recognized international standards. ISO 9000, ISO 17025 and ISO 17011; which works with the combination of the previous models, adapted to the immediate needs of the Geosynthetics testing community. The program is based on on-site audits and annual proficiency tests.

The GAI-LAP accreditation is a formal recognition by one of the world's leading authorities in geosynthetic testing, which guarantees the competence of a laboratory to perform specific tests, being individually accredited.
