Geomatrix introduces to Colombia an articulated textile form that allows to receive a fluid concrete on the surface of a slope, the construction of a channel, or the lining of a structure, taking advantage of the benefits of concrete to cover surfaces exposed to erosion.

According to Juan Ernesto Vélez, commercial vice president of Geomatrix, it is made up of two layers of interwoven geotextile on its lateral edges, allowing that when it is filled, it facilitates having a system of articulated blocks that remain interconnected through the layers of geotextile, and through internal longitudinal and transverse tendons, facilitating a continuous and articulated cover, which maintains the functional condition against the effects of undermining and offers a macro-texture similar to river stones that controls the erosive power of the current.

“This form arrives completely ready at the placement site in hand-supporting rolls, which makes it an innovative, practical, versatile and supremely fast and clean solution, allowing great savings with high quality and speed”, suggests Juan Ernesto Vélez from Geomatrix.

Some of its advantages are that compared to Rip-Rap type stone coatings, they offer a continuous, articulated and homogeneous coating, of great weight and less thickness; it can be adapted to different ground surfaces, guaranteeing total contact with the surface; allows controlled placement of concrete under water; the performance of the installation is higher and the cost of labor is lower; It reduces the use of traditional forms, helping to protect the environment, and requires less transportation of materials to the construction site, according to the commercial vice president of Geomatrix.

Thus, this articulated textile form becomes ideal for lining and protecting the banks of rivers, lagoons and coastlines; lining of canals, slopes, gutters, valleys, ditches, drains, drains, dike ponding, embankment dams, bridge glue and scraping, and even lining of geotextile tubes.
